French text Si des haulx cieulx qui a gouvernement et tout le monde regit soubz son empire donnoit secours ou quelque allègement aux amoureulx qu'ont en amour martyre, je suppliroy, puisqu'il voit que j'empire, qu'il me donna remède à mon tourment, et pour cause que je te veulx escrire, de moy en ceste vers toy fist changement. Modern French Si des hauts cieux, qui a gouvernement et qui régit le monde entier sous son empire, donnait secours ou quelque allègement aux amoureux qui ont le martyre en amour, je supplirais, puisqu’il voit que j’empire, qu’il me donna remède à mon tourment et pour cause que je veux t’écrire que jai fait changement envers toi.

English translation If the supreme heavens that rule and govern the whole world offered any help or support to lovers who endure the martyrdom of love, I'd beg them, once they see my suffering, to offer me a remedy for my torment, since I want to write to you how much my feelings have changed for you.
