Description: Published in Southern Harmony, Edition 5, 1847, p. 268, for three voices: Treble-Tenor-Bass; Walker added an Alto part in his Christian Harmony, 1867, p. 85. Words by John Newton, 1779, Looking at the Cross, with eight stanzas. Walker used two stanzas of Newton's hymn to one stanza of his composition.
