Pere eternel, qui nous ordonnes
n’avoir soucy du lendemain,
des biens que pour ce jour nous donnes
te mercions de cueur humain.
Or puis qu’il t’a pleu de ta main
donner au corps manger & boire,
plaise toy du celeste pain
paistre nos âmes à ta gloire

Prayer of Thanksgiving

Eternal Father, who orders us
not to worry about tomorrow,
for the goods you gave us today
we thank you, with all our heart.
Now, since it has pleased you
to give our bodies food and drink,
may it please you, with bread from heaven,
to feed our souls to your glory.
