Ove tra l’herb’e i fiori,
vincitrice d’amor, Dori sedea
Sonar colme di gioia a l’arie’ e a venti
mille voci S’udir’ in tal’ accenti:
Che’l Dio del fuoco nel suo fuoc’accende;
Poi concordi seguir Ninf’e Pastori:
Viva la bella Dori!

Where, mid the plants and flowers,
Dori, the victress over love, was seated,
overflowing with joy, a thousand voices were heard
ringing on the air and to the winds.
Here is she who, between her worthy hands,
holds dominion over men’s souls,
and, if once she was wont to fire
only the hearts of mortals,
now, with her fair eyes, she curbs and sets ablaze the heavens,
for the god of fire is inflamed by her fire.
Then nymphs and shepherds continued in accord
‘Long live fair Dori!”.

Dutch.png Dutch translation

Waar tussen planten en bloemen
Dori, winnares over Amor, was gezeten,
