Description: Original composition by Robert Hugill setting verses from Psalms 24 which form the Introit for the 3rd Sunday in Lent.

The motet is set for four part unaccompanied choir (SATB) and is part of Robert Hugill's sequence of motets Tempus per Annum setting the Latin introits for all the Sundays in the church's year and for major feasts.

Latin text Oculi mei semper ad Dominum, quia ipse evellet de laqueo pedes meos: respice in me, et miserere mei, quoniam unicus et pauper sum ego. Ad te, Domine, levavi animam meam: Deus meus, in te confido, non erubescam.

English translation My eyes are ever turned towards the Lord: for He shall pluck my feet out of the snare: look Thou upon me, and have mercy on me for I am alone and poor. To Thee, O Lord, have I lifted up my soul: in Thee, O my God, I put my trust; let me not be ashamed.
