Monti, selve, fontane
piagg' e sassi, vo cercand' io
se pur potesss' un giorno,
in parte ralentar l'accerbo pianto,
ma ben vegg' hor che sol' in una valle,
trovo riposo,
a le mie stanche rime,
che mormorando van per mille campi.
