Description: A short mass of three movements suitable for General use. The nickname for this composition is "The Lacemaker's Mass." The key signature of A flat represents the two pairs of bobbins a lacemaker uses to make a stitch. The quarter note at the end of measure 16 in the Agnus Dei represents the pin a lacemaker inserts midway through the stitch to hold the work in place. St Catharine is considered the patron saint of lacemakers.
