Original text
Mais languiray ie tousiours vray dieu
que cest grant paine
vivray ie tousiours en pleurs
pour une que tant iayme
ie voys que point ne mayme
car ailleurs prent secours
nest elle pas bien villaine
quant elle faict telz tours
crions d'une alleine
fy fy fy de telz amours

Modern French
Mais languirai-je toujours, vrai Dieu,
que c'est une grande peine?
Vivrai-je toujours en pleurs
pour une que j'aime tant?
Je vois que point ne m'aime
car ailleurs elle prend secours.
N'est-elle pas villaine
quand elle fait tels tours?
Crions d'un souffle commun:
"Fy, fy, fy de tels amours!"

English.png English translation

Would I mourn forever, oh God,
the great pain that has befallen me?
Would I spend my days in tears
for her that I love so dearly?
I see that she does not love me
since she finds her solace elsewhere.
Is she not villainous for playing such tricks?
Let us cry out together:
"Begone with such love!"
