Description: First published in Music In Miniature, 1779, p. 32, without words. Words added and music revised in 1781 and 1786. Reprinted about 1804 (see Nathan 1977) with different words and a few changes to the music; it is not certain whether this last was done by Billings. Words by James Relly, 1758, his Hymn 87.
