Refrain:

Lord, you are alive in all creation.
Lord, let me live now in your presence.
Let me see you in your beauty.

Verses:

1. O woods and thickets planted by the hand of God,
O verdant paths are you wrapped with green and bright with flowers?
Can you tell me has my Lord passed near?
I am told of a thousand graces bestowed as the Beloved drew near.
Looking at all trees and creatures,
The Image of truth and compassion clothed all in beauty.

2. All who have sight recount the thousand graces,
Yet am I wounded and left as dying and forgotten.
I cannot look to mere murmurings.
Who will remove my blindness? When will this lonely darkness end?
Do not send surrogates. Tell me not of messengers.
For only The Beloved can open my eyes.
