Description: First published in Ravenscroft's The Whole Booke of Psalmes, 1621, pp. 60-62. Words by John Hopkins, 1561, Old Version, paraphrase of Psalm 26, in six stanzas. Hopkins' stanzas have eight lines, meter 86. 86. D; Ravenscroft used half of the first stanza in his composition (86. 86.).
