Original text and translations
Italian text
Signori e cavalieri d'ingegn' e forza,
El gran Duca milanese
O signor' italiani su ogni alemano |
German translation
Herren und Ritter von Geist und Kraft,
Der große Mailänder Herzog
O ihr italienischen Herren, auf, jeder Deutsche,
|
- Notes
The italian text follows the edition of 1552 by Antonio Gardano. Marco might mean Robert de la Marck III, who commanded the Swiss troops and became Marshal of France one year later. There is an english translation on by the group Chanticleer to be found on the web which is not very reliable, there is some misreading and fantasy in it.
