Died: 30 July 1523

Biography Anchieta was born 1462 in the vicinity of Azpeitia, joining Isabella's chapel in 1589. Following her death in 1504 he served queen Joanna and visited Flanders and England with an entourage that included Pierre de la Rue, Alexander Agricola and Marbrianus de Orto. He retired from the Charles V's chapel in 1519. On stylistic grounds 12 works (including 4 passions in Passionarium Toletanum (1516)) have been added to the 16 secure attributions.
