Biography

Joseph Ohnewald was born in Heuchlingen, Germany. After studying at Augsburg (1804, "Hoc tempore Rhetorices Studiosus"), he went back to Heuchlingen in 1811, took over his deceased father's Store and became Kapellmeister of the local Catholic church.
