According to the entry by Yvonne Levasseur-de-Rebollo in Grove's Dictionary of Music, opinion is divided as to whether there may have been a second musician named José de Torres (possibly the son of the first). The villancico, "Buena la han hecho" is mentioned as a possible work of that second musidican. The Regina coeli, may perhaps be also perhaps be attributed to the junior Torres, since it is stylistically so different from the other works.
