Biography
"Jared B. Waterbury, D. D., … graduated at Yale College, 1822. He was for some time pastor of a Congregational church at Hudson, New York, and then of Bowdoin Street Congregational church, Boston" (John Julian, Dictionary of Hymnology, 1907). He contributed several hymns to Andrew Broaddus' Dover Selection of Spiritual Songs, 1828, and to Joshua Leavitt's Christian Lyre, 1830.
