- Gloria, laus et honor tibi sit, Rex Christe Redemptor.
- Cui puerile decus prompsit hosanna pium.
- Israel es tu Rex, Davidis inclita proles:
- Nomine in Domini, Rex benedicte, venis.
- Plebs Hebræa tibi cum palmis obvia venit:
- Cum prece, voto, hymnis, adsumus ecce tibi.
English translation
- Glory, praise and honour to you, Redeemed King.
- to whom the children sang their glad hosannas.
- You are the King of Israel, of David's royal lineage:
- a blessed king, you come in the name of the Lord.
- The Hebrew people went out to meet you with palms:
- See how we greet you with prayers, vows and hymns.
