Biography
George Gay was the organist of Corsham Chapel, in Wiltshire. His Sacred Music, consisting of Fifty Psalm and Hymn Tunes, Seven Set Pieces and a Canon was first published in 1827: a second edition was published in 1828. Gay was also a contributor to, and editor of, A Collection of Tunes (1833) compiled by Thomas Hawkes of Williton.
