English translation
- I will escape from so much Love,
- That the passion will diminish,
- The flames and the chains,
- That hold this soul in so much pain.
- I will escape so much,
- That my weeping will cease,
- The knot, the bow, the arrow,
- That keeps this soul in sore and deadly pain.
- I will escape the strong lace,
- And I will set me free,
- Not my escape I repent,
- Nor diminishing the passion I feel in my heart.
- I will escape therefore my Love,
- Free from the fierce passion,
- And I will say by escaping:
- "Woman, you are the cause of my martyrdom"
