Italian text
Ecco pur vinti quelli,
ch'enceladi superbi al regno mio,
mossero l'armi di pensier rubelli:
Provin' hor come fulmina possente,
irato nume osseso,
e dolce sguardo acceso
di due lumi pietosi al raggio ardente:
vostro don vostr'honore,
don ne s'io son il trionfante Amore.
Che sol può tanto la mia fac'e'l dardo,
quanto può 'l vostro riso e'l vostro sguardo.
