Latin text
Dixi: custodiam vias meas ut non delinquam in lingua mea,
posui ori meo custodiam cum consideret peccator adversum me.
Obmutui et humiliatus sum et silui a bonis et dolor meus renovatus est.
Concaluit cor meum intra me et in meditatione mea exardescit ignis.
NB. Although the Vulgate version has consisteret instead of consideret,
yet since all four partbooks of Magnus opus musicum have consideret,
I decided to retain its reading. Unfortunately I have no access to original 1577 print.
