Dies sanctificatus illuxit nobis:
venite gentes, et adorate Dominum;
quia hodie descendit, lux magna super terram.
Alleluia.

English translation

A hallowed day hath dawned for us:
come, ye Gentiles, and adore the Lord;
for on this day a great light hath descended upon the earth.
Alleluia.

German translation

Ein geheiligter Tag ist uns aufgeleuchtet:
kommt, ihr Völker, und betet den Herrn an;
der heute herabgestiegen ist, als großes Licht auf die Erde.
