Original text and translations
Latin text
Dies sanctificatus illuxit nobis;
venite gentes, et adorate Dominum;
quia hodie descendit lux magna in terris.
Haec dies quam fecit Dominus;
exultemus, et laetemur in ea.
English translation
Translation supplied by The St. Ann Choir, directed by William Mahrt.
A day made holy dawns upon us;
O come, all nations, and adore the Lord;
for today a great light has descended upon earth.
This is the day the Lord has made;
let us be glad and rejoice in it.
