Deare, though your minde stand so averse,
that no assaulting words can pierce,
your swift and angry flight forbeare.
What neede you doubt? What neede you feare?
In vaine I strive your thoughts to move,
but yet, stay, and heare me sweete love

Words may entreat you, not enforce;
speake tho’ I might till I were hoarse;
already ypu resolve, I know,
no gentle look or grace to show.
all must hapless rove,

Since here no help nor hope remaines
to ease my griefe or end my paines,
