Biography

Christopher L. Webber, a graduate of Princeton University and the General Theological Seminary in New York (with two earned degrees and an honorary doctorate from the latter), is the author of a number of books ranging from a guidebook for Vestries to a study of Christian marriage. He has also written hymns included in several major hymnals in the United States and Canada. His New Metrical Psalter : Revised Common Lectionary Edition is published by Church Publishing, Inc.

As an Episcopal priest, Fr. Webber has served parishes in Long Island and New Your, and served six years as rector of St. Alban’s Church in Tokyo, Japan. He has been a Trustee of the Cathedral of St John the Divine, and of General Theological Seminary. Rev. Webber is now retired and resides with his family in San Francisco.
