Quinquagesima is the name for the Sunday before Ash Wednesday in the Extraordinary form or Tridentine mass; it is not observed in three-year lectionaries, although (except for the Tract being replaced with the Alleluia) its propers coincide with those for the 6th Sunday of Ordinary Time. The gospel of healing of the blind man (Luke 18) is replaced in the new lectionary by Jesus on the law (Matth 5:17-, year A), the leper (Mark 1, year B) and the Beatitudes (Luke 6:17-, year C)
