Domenica XXIII post Pentecosten or the Twenty-third Sunday after Pentecost corresponds to the Thirty-third Sunday in Ordinary Time, the Gospel of the raising of a dead girl (Matth. 9:18) giving way in the three-year lectionary giving way to the parable of the talents (Matt. 25:14-30), Christ coming in clouds (Mark 13:24-32), and the last trials (Luke 21:5-19).

The same propers are repeated when a Twenty-fourth - Twenty-eighth Sunday occurs before Advent, the Gospel being the admonition to flee to the mountains (Matth 24:15-).
