The Seventh Sunday of Easter is known as Dominica infra Octavam Ascensionis, that is, Sunday within the eight-day Octave of Ascension. It is also called Exaudi, after the introit, and is often observed as Ascension Sunday when that feast is transferred.

In the three-year Lectionaries the Gospel of John 15:26 - 16:4 ("The spirit of truth") is replaced by John 17:1-11 ("The hour has come", Year A), John 17:11-19 ("sent into the world", Year B), and John 17:20-26 ("as you loved me", Year C).
