viel Klagens, Weinens und Heulens,
Rahel beweinete ihre Kinder
und wollt sich nicht trösten lassen,
denn es war aus mit ihnen.

Hang hallatszik a hegyen,
nagy sírás és jajgatás,
Ráchel siratja fiait
és nem akar vigasztalódni,
mert nincsenek többé.
