Latin text Assumpta est Maria in coelum, gaudent angeli, (col)laudantes benedicunt Dominum. Allelia. Maria virgo assumpta est ad aethereum thalamum, in quo Rex regum stellato sedet solio. Variant 1 Assumpta est Maria in coelum, gaudent angeli, laudantes benedicunt Dominum. Gaudete et exsultate omnes recti corde, quia hodie Maria virgo cum Christo regnat in aeternum. Quae est ista, quae progreditur quasi aurora consurgens, pulchra ut luna, electa ut sol, terribilis ut castrorum acies ordinata? Variant 2 Assumpta est Maria in coelum. Alleluia. De cuius assumptione gaudent Angeli, et laetentur Archangeli. Alleluia

English translation Mary is taken up into heaven; the Angels rejoice, praising, they bless God. Alleluia. Mary the Virgin is taken up into the heavenly chamber, in which the King of kings sits upon His starry throne. Variant 1 Mary has been received into Heaven: the angels rejoice with praises and bless the Lord. Let all rejoice and be glad with righteous heart, for today the Virgin Mary reigns with Christ for evermore. Who is she that cometh like the dawn, fair as the moon, bright as the sun, terrible as an army prepared for battle? Variant 2 Mary is taken up into heaven. Alleluia. At whose assumption, the angels rejoice and the archangels are glad. Alleluia.
