Original text: Latin.png Latin text Alma Redemptoris Mater,
quae pervia caeli Porta manes,
et stella maris,
succurre cadenti Surgere qui curat,
populo; tu quae genuisti,
Natura mirante,
tuum sanctum Genitorem,
Virgo prius ac posterius,
Gabrielis ab ore Sumens illud Ave,
peccatorum miserere.

Translation(s): English.png English translation Sweet Mother of our Redeemer,
gate whereby we enter heaven,
and star of the sea:
help thy falling people who long to rise.
Thou who bore thy holy Creator,
as nature marveled,
virgin both before and after receiving that "Ave" from the mouth of Gabriel:
have mercy on us sinners.
