May the blessing of light be on you
light without and light within.
May the blessed sunlight shine on you
like a great peat fire.

May the blessing of the rains be on you,
may they sweep softly across your fields.
May the gentle rains beat upon your spirit
and wash it fair and clean,
and leave there a shining pool
where the blue of Heaven shines.

May the blessing of the earth be on you,
soft under your feet as you pass along the roads.
May ev’ry good seed you have planted bear fruit,
and late summer find you standing in fields of plenty.
May the blessing of light be on you,
May the blessing of rains be on you,
May the blessing of the earth be on you
and may the kind smile of God light you to glory.
