IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE WITH EXPERTISE IN THE AREA OF SACRED CHORAL MUSIC ACAPELLA STYLE FLEMISH RENAISSANCE PERIOD WHO IS FAMILIAR WITH THE PIECE "GLORIA IN EXCELSIS DEO" BY THE FLEMISH COMPOSER ANDRIES PERVANAGE? I HAVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR A VOCAL SCORE OR A PERFORMANCE BY SOME CHORALE ON THIS WONDERFUL PIECE. IT LASTS A BIT MORE THAN A MINUTE BUT IT IS EXTRAORDINARY. IT IS FOR MIXED ENSEMBLE COMPLETELY A CAPELLA. SOUNDS LIKE AN INTROIT OR CHANT BUT IT IS POLYPHONIC. USUALLLY APPROPRIATE FOR CHRISTMAS SEASON ALBEIT COULD APPLY TO ANY SACRED SEASON CHRISTIAN OR OTHERWISE.
- Hi KIM, and welcome to CPDL! The composer you're looking for is can be found here at CPDL under the name Andreas Pevernage, but unfortunatelly the Gloria you're searching for is not available yet. I've made a few corrections to your request, let's hope someone will decide to work on it! —Carlos 06:32, 15 November 2008 (UTC)
