Welcome

Welcome to CPDL! We hope you will contribute much and well. You will probably want to read the help pages. Again, welcome and have fun! Claude (talk) 17:38, 20 April 2018 (UTC)

How to create a new work page?

Go to the page of the corresponding composer, for example 'Traditional': Traditional

Click on "Add new work", in the upper right of the page
then fill the AddWork form that opens
(It's the only way to get the page created with a specific edition number),
then click on the 'Add work data' button at bottom of the form.
Thanks in advance. Claude (talk) 09:04, 17 February 2021 (UTC)

And for further information, see the help page Help:Score submission guide/Quick start. The important part: Please do not begin by uploading files, begin by going to the composer's page and click on "Add new work" as Claude wrote above. — Barry Johnston (talk) 21:13, 17 February 2021 (UTC)

In CPDL, "C" is for "Choral"

So, please think to move your purely instrumental music editions to IMSLP. We accept instrumental parts of choral/vocal works, like Bach cantatas. By the way, didn't you think that we already had a Johann Sebastian Bach composer page with hundreds of works, when you created a "J S Bach" page? Claude (talk) 18:13, 23 February 2021 (UTC)

Orphan files

Hi, Joseph,

Since November, the 4th, you left nine "orphan" files on our server, about Psalm 13. They aren't available for any user here. Could you please create the corresponding editions, to make them available? Adding editions to CPDL isn't just uploading files. It's mandatory to get a CPDL number and choosing yourself a copyright type, etc. Beginning doing that isn't so difficult: . Click on "Add new edition" on the corresponding work page if it exists OR . click on "Add new work" on the composer page if not (N.B.: if even the composer page doesn't exist, create it replacing cautiously first name and last name in the address bar of any existing composer page) Feel free to ask me more.
