FROM KIM:

I HAVE BEEN A CLASSICAL MUSIC CONNOISSEUR SINCE MY COLLEGIATE DAYS AT RUTGERS UNIVERSITY 30 YEARS AGO WHEN MY ROOMMATE DRAGGED ME TO CHAPEL BECAUSE SHE WAS IN THE CHOIR. THAT'S WHEN THE MUSIC COLLECTING GOT STARTED, PARTICULARLY IN THE AREAS OF SACRED MUSIC, MOTETS, ANTHEMS, CHANTS, INTROITS, INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC, MUSIC OF DIFFERENT PERIODS. I HAVE A HUGE COLLECTION OF DISCS & HAVE SAMPLED MANY CHORALE GROUPS & ORCHESTRAL RECORDINGS. IF ANYBODY IS SEARCHING FOR A PARTICULAR WORK I CAN RECOMMEND, TITLE, COMPOSER, ORCHESTRAL RECORDING, CHORAL GROUP, YOU CAN VISIT THE FORUM. I AM PARTICULARLY WELL-VERSED IN CHRISTMAS CAROLS THAT ARE NOT THE TYPICAL STUFF YOU WOULD HEAR (NOT THE JINGLE BELL STUFF OR SANTA CLAUS STUFF); AKA THAT MEANS EUROPEAN CAROLS WRITTEN DURING MEDIEVAL, RENAISSANCE, & BAROQUE TIMES PLUS SOME OF THE NEWER STUFF THAT HAS COME OUT SAY FROM JOHN RUTTER OR COMPOSERS IN THE 18TH-19TH CENTURY. I HAVE SOUGHT THE PIECES I HEARD IN COLLEGE FOR THE LAST 30 YEARS BECAUSE THE CHOIR SANG NONTRADITIONAL STUFF WHICH I LIKED BETTER. I HAD FOUND RECORDINGS OF ALL THE CAROLS PERFORMED BY THE CHOIR BUT ONE UNTIL TODAY, WHEN I MANAGED TO CATCH A SAMPLE OF THE ONE LAST MISSING PIECE.
