Spelling inconsistency: Hortum vs. Ortum

I usually see it spelled Hortum rather than Ortum (including other scores on CPDL). If both are correct, we should have a redirect so people can find it under either spelling. Otherwise, we should fix the spelling.

There is no 'H' in Latin. The graphic was adopted from Greek, where it represents a vowel, rather than a consonant. The same goes for J, as you'll find Jerusalem next to Ierusalem. Trying to get Latin spelling consistent is a daunting task, comparable to what Dave is doing to Dowland's English currently. I'd suggest leaving it as it is, with possibly a redirect leaving both options possible. joachim 17:11, 11 August 2008 (PDT)

Thanks! Sounds like I should learn to create redirects for score pages. I've reviewed the directions for redirects regarding alternate composer names on the volunteers page. Does the same process should apply to scores, or should there be an additional step for adding the alternate spelling to the composer page? I'm thinking that once someone is at the composer page, they'll recognize the alternate spelling (e.g. Ortum vs. Hortum) and thus no additional annotation of the title's alternate spelling is needed on the Composer page.
