Sweet Suffolk owl, so trimly dight,
With feathers like a lady bright,
Thou sing'st alone, sitting by night:
Te-whit, te-whoo…
Thy note, that forth so freely rolls,
With shrill command the mouse controls,
And sings a dirge for dying souls:
