Biography Italian composer. Little is known of his early training. He first appears as chorusmaster at St Peter's in Rome in 1744 and thereafter he was known until his death as a solid teacher. A notable pupil was Maria Rosa Coccia. His music has never been fully studied, though it consists of three Masses, two offertories, two motets, a gradual and an Ave Maria. Chorister and later librarian at Santa Maria Maggiore and compiler of Pompeo Canniciari's music collection. (Van Boer, B. (2012). Historical Dictionary of Music of the Classical Period.
