I. Salve flos tusce gentis, Florencia, salve,
o salve italici gloria magna soli,
salve que doctos felix tot mater alumnos
tot generas magno consilio atque side,
que tot prestantes mira integritudine,
que tot prestantes generas religione viros.
Salve cui debet quodcunque est artis honeste,
ingenii quicquid, quicquid et eloquii est.
Salve que fama totum diffusa per orbem
et vehis et natos mittis ad astra tuos,
Nunc cecini et grate voces placuere canore
premia mercedes nec periere simul;
fessus ego haud cantu, vox est de fessa canendo,
sed tu carminibus vive cananda meis.

II. Vos nunc etrusce iubar, salvete puelle,
sic sedet hoc animo nec sine amore moror;
stant foribus nimphis similes, stant naiades
utque aut amozonides aut procaces,
Venus servet in amplexus atque oscula dulcia,
Quisque si semel has viderit, captus amore cadet.
Ite, dee mundi, vester per secula cuncta
