To balance the amount of traffic and CPU usage on CPDL servers, ChoralWiki has been divided into a Contributor ChoralWiki (requiring Registration and Login) plus two Visitor ChoralWikis that are read-only, daily-updated mirrors of the Contributor ChoralWiki and hence suitable for browsing and downloading files.
To see whether you are at the Contributor site or one of the Visitor sites, look at the Site Notice banner at the top of the page. If a user has an active ChoralWiki login cookie, (s)he will be sent to the Contributor site. Otherwise, a "dispatcher" sends the user to one of the Visitor sites, but a user at a Visitor site can get to to Contributor site by clicking on the link in the Site Notice banner. However, the user must Register/Login to use the Contributor site.
