Latin.png Latin text

O Domine adjuva me, et salvus ero: et libera me de laqueo mortis æternæ, ne me surripiat hostis astutus, set vigilantem semper reperiat, quia peccavi nimis. Et si commisi unde me damnare potes, non amisisti quo me salvare potes: nec gaudes perditione morientium, sed ut viverent tu mortuus es, et mors tua peccatorum mortem, occidit in sæcula.

English.png English translation

O Lord, help me, and I shall be saved: and deliver me from the snare of eternal death. Let not the crafty foe steal me away, but always find me vigilant, for I have sinned exceedingly. And if I have committed that which can damn me, thou hast not lost that which can save me. Thou dost not rejoice in the damnation of the dying, but hast died that they might live, and thy death hath slain the death of sinners for ever.
