Description: This mass is canonic ("ad fugam") throughout, written in either 1 or 2 two voices from which the remainder derive by means of a canon. In the 4 part sections (Kyrie, Gloria, Credo, Sanctus, Osanna, Agnus Dei I) the alto is followed by the soprano a fourth higher a semibrevis (in the Osanna a brevis) apart, the tenor a fourth higher than the bass and following by a semibrevis (in the Osanna a brevis). In the 3 part Pleni the tenor follows the Bass a fourth higher and a semibrevis apart, the alto follows the tenor a fifth higher and a brevis later. In the Benedictus all 3 voices are 2 breves apart and enter a fifth lower. The final Agnus Dei II for 5 voices has two canons: the tenor follows the bass a fourth higher and a semibrevis apart, and the alto I is followed by the alto II in unison six semibreves later with the soprano following the alto II in the usual pattern, a fourth higher and a semibrevis apart.
