Da Jakob vollendet hatte die Gebote an seine Kinder, tät er seine Füße zusammen aufs Bett und verschied und ward versammelt zu seinem Volk.

Da fiel Joseph auf seines Vaters Angesicht und weinet über ihn und küsset ihn.

English translation

When Jacob had finished his charge to his sons, he drew up his feet into the bed, breathed his last, and was gathered to his people.

Then Joseph fell on his father's face, and wept over him and kissed him.
