Meinem Urgroßvater erzählten sie, dass der Feind
Mitten im Frieden das Land überfiel,
Und es sei vaterländische Pflicht
Zu kämpfen.

Meinem Großvater sagten Sie, dass der Pole
überfallen habe den Sender Gleiwitz,
Und dass die Heimat geschützt werden müsse
Vor Bolschewisten.

Meinem Vater erzählten Sie, der Vietnamese
Habe geschossen im Golf von Tonkin,
Und dass die Freiheit bedroht sei
Durch Gelbe Gefahr.

Mir selber erzählten sie, der Iraker
Risse aus Brutkästen Babys heraus, und der Serbe
Plane eine neues Auschwitz. Da dürfe man
Doch nicht zusehn.

Jetzt sagen Sie meinen Kindern erneut,
Dass die anderen unmenschlich sind,
Damit es gerecht erscheint,
Wenn die Bomben fallen.

Ich aber wundere mich,
Dass das jedes mal wieder
So viele glauben.
