Yes, all of Barber's works are under copyright. He died in 1981. I've removed the links to the PDF here and on the Barber page. -- Chuck_talk Giffen_♫ 04:42, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

Ok Chuck, thanks. With regards to the solution taken (i.e. comment out the "Sheet music' category), as I was saying yesterday on the forum, it doesn't seem to be the best solution, because the work will continue to be listed in other categories as "Sacred music", "SATB" etc. We must think of another alternative: either delete the page completely, or comment out the whole text and archive the page, or... what? —Carlos  05:27, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

Copyright-violating works must be deleted. Obscuring the link to find them is not sufficient--if a copy exists on CPDL servers, it's technically a violation even if it's difficult for users to find it. Can someone please delete ASAP or let me know how to delete the uploaded file? Should we keep score pages for copyrighted works and indicate that the piece is still under copyright therefore not available? Or does that clutter things up too much? Thanks for deleting the PDF files, Carlos. I was busy last night and could not get to that task. I suppose we can safely delete the Barber page and the Agnus Dei page, since it will be more than 40 years before CPDL could ever hope to host any works by Barber. -- Chuck_talk Giffen_♫ 13:07, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
