by Mick Swithinbank

Although he is gone from us, he never abandons us:
what we possessed in him is always around us,
like sunlight on the flowers, a mother with her child,
he loves us in too many ways to list.

Although he has gone up into heaven, remember
that he will return, just as went from us.
We live in the faith that we shall see his majesty
face to face in all eternity.
